'Godman' prints fake currency
DH News Service, Hyderabad:

A sheer coincidence led the police to an “ashram” in Hyderabad where an obviously fake godman only printed fake currency notes but was also shooting blue films.

Cyberabad police commissioner S Prabhakar Reddy said they seized fake currency notes, two tiger nails and the paw of a tiger from Nityananda Swamy’s house at Borabanda locality.

The police got on to his trail when they nabbed a five-men gang of robbers in connection with a theft on January 7. During interrogation, they confessed that they stole one lakh fake currency notes from Nityananda’s house, who is absconding. Police enquiries revealed that the culprit’s real name is A Yekambeswar Rao but was known as Tripurananda Swamy in the village.

According to his neighbours, many women were seen visiting his house. Several politicians and bureaucrats are reported to be his “followers”. While the police admitted to seizing sophisticated printers, finely cut paper of Rs 1000 note size, and several boxes of libido-enhancing pills, they did not comment on his links with powerful people.
