Stock market surges after credit policy  
The Reserve Bank's decision to keep the key lending rates unchanged in its Annual Monetary Policy announced on Tuesday triggered a fervent buying activity in stock markets with the benchmark Sensex and the wider Nifty spurting by over 360 and 100 points respectively.
CR makers want higher export duty  
Cold-rolled steel producers are not impressed with the Finance Minister's announcement of levying of about 15 per cent export duty on hot-rolled coils saying it should have been at least 20 per cent to dissuade steel-makers from shipping these coils.
Grasim Q4 net up 57 pc  
Aditya Birla Group's flagship company Grasim Industries, on Tuesday, announced a consolidated net profit of Rs 880.77 crore for the fourth quarter ended March 31, a growth of 57.73 per cent over the corresponding period a year-ago.

Govt rolls out fiscal steps to stem inflation  
In an effort to rein in runaway inflation, the Centre, on Tuesday, announced a slew of anti-inflationary fiscal measures including slashing of import duties on steel and skimmed milk products and imposition of export duty on wide range of steel products to contain rise in prices of essential commodities.
