Kedar CA take under-16 title

Kedar Cricket Academy, Chennai, clinched a thriller to lift under-16 trophy beating Imtiaz Ahmed Cricket Academy by 14 runs  on Monday.

Kedar CA were shepherded to a respectable total of 188/5  by Aditya (68) and Arjun (52). In reply, IACA could manage only 174/6 as Prasad and Karthik shared six wickets between them for the winners. Manjunath provided the lone resistance for the local side with an 83-run knock.

Muslims register facile victory

Bangalore Muslims defeated Vinayaka FC 2-0 in the ‘C’ Division football league tie on Monday. A E Jerard (3rd) and Lenin (15th) scored for them. Bangalore Blues held 515 ABW 1-1. Mahendra gave ABW the lead in the 42nd minute before Blues drew level through Karthik’s strike in the 57th minute.
