It’s good kissing me: Ricci

Actress Christina Ricci enjoyed her kissing scenes with actor Emile Hirsch for the movie Speed Racer and believes it is “always good” kissing her, reports IANS from London. “Kissing scenes are hard - especially my ones in Speed Racer. Hirsch and I did not prepare at all for it. It was a very innocent kiss —  but it was great fun. We had a good time,” she said.

Baby drowns in bucket

A baby boy drowned in a bucket of water three days before his first birthday, news reports said on Friday.
The child, known among his Singapore neighbours as Ah Boy, was found with his head in the bucket in the bathroom of the one-room flat, The Straits Times said. The water had been collected for a bath. The boy apparently managed to lift himself by holding onto the side of the bucket before falling face first into the water. He was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead. The boy was looked after by his grandmother when his parents were away.

Harry’s girlfriend says ‘no’

Prince Harry’s girlfriend Chelsy Davy has refused 24-hour armed protection as she wants to be a “normal student”. The 23-year-old prince wanted the Zimbabwean-born blonde to be given round-the-clock armed guards fearing that she could be in danger after he spent nearly ten weeks with the British troops fighting the Taliban in Afghanistan. But Davy (22) has turned down offer as she does not want to ruin her student life in Leeds, where she is studying for a postgraduate law degree, the Daily Star reported on Friday.

William defends ‘joyrides’

Just days after he was criticised for “misusing” military choppers, Prince William has defended his flights, saying it’s part of his training intended only to earn a flying qualification. William has said that the “accusation of wasting money” by “joyriding” in the chopper is not justified as he has only been trying to clock up as many hours in the air for a flying qualification.

Alarm over migratory birds

The UN Environment Programme on Friday voiced concern over declining numbers of migratory birds globally. “The decline in numbers is currently being recorded for many of the migratory bird species along all of the world’s major flyways,” UNEP said in a statement issued ahead of the May 10-11 World Migratory Bird Day.
“For example: 41 per cent of the 522 migratory waterbird populations on the African-Eurasian flyways are declining and there are reports that numbers of migratory songbirds using the same flyways are also decreasing,” it said.
