Speaking to reporters, he claimed that the voters of Karnataka are ready to reject the politics of betrayal and gross opportunism practiced by the Congress and its fraternity of so called secular parties.
Criticising the Central Government loan waiver, he said that amount of waiver is only Rs 23,000 crore and not Rs 60,000 crore as claimed by the Finance Minister P Chidambaram. “The Finance Minister should inform the country where he got the figure of Rs 60,000 crore," he demanded.
The benefit from the waiver was minimal and that it makes mockery of the claim that it is a farmers budget, he added.

He demanded a comprehensive and integrated action plan against terrorism after taking all major political parties into confidence and blamed the UPA led Congress government for its soft attitude towards terrorism.
