District Electoral Officer B S Ramprasad who is also the BBMP Special Commissioner (Administration) said that people who do not possess any of the 17 prescribed identity documents could furnish the temporary ration card and cast their vote.
The temporary card should have the names and age of the members of the family and should indicate their relation to the head of the family. The polling agents of various political parties, who were earlier supposed to compulsorily possess electoral photo identity cards, can now use the other photo documents prescribed by the Election Commission or prepare a photo identity card and get it attested by the Returning Officer of the jurisdictional constituency.
