Codava Council’s call to boycott polls

Bangalore, dhns: The Codava National Council (CNC) has given a call to all Codavas to boycott elections in protest against the Central Government’s ‘cold response’ to the demands of Codavas.

Addressing presspersons in Bangalore on  Wednesday,  CNC President N U Nachappa Codava appealed to all Codavas to refrain from voting.

Bank’s industrial finance branch opens

Bangalore, dhns: To cater to the expanding industrial needs of the City, Allahabad Bank inaugurated a specialised Industrial Finance Branch at Manipal Centre on Tuesday.

Briefing newspersons after the event, J P Dua, Executive Director of the Bank, said the branch will take care of big business players. The Bank also plans to set up six retail hubs in the country to take care of retail businesses, and six business development centres in the future, Dua added.
