DG & IGP R Sri Kumar disclosed the security arrangements on Thursday and said, “In addition to 25,000 policemen, 200 Central Para Military Forces (CPMF) companies of about 15,000 personnel, 15,000 home guards, and 3,000 KSRP men will be deployed for the forthcoming elections.
Of the 18,562 polling stations. 6352 are hyper sensitive (nearly 30%) and 3500 as sensitive. The CPMF pickets in strength of 1 head constable, 4 police constable/2 head constable and 10 police constables will be posted at the sensitive constituencies.
One can also log on to www.kspelections.com to disseminate information relating to action taken by the police during elections. The site is upgraded with interactive features to enable the public to know about the constituencies, candidates, affidavits filed by the candidates etc.

*1000 criminal cases booked
*120 cases of inducement/attempt to induce voters have been booked . Property worth Rs 6 crore seized.
