It’s summer! The boys are playing cricket
Yes! yells he ‘’That’s a wicket!”
Summer until now had been just a dream....
Now, I’m enjoying and eating ice-cream
I play all day long, and sing this merry song!
Oh! the sky is a lovely blue
The weather is nice too....
Hurray for summer -
“Hurray! Hurray!”
Go out and enjoy
This summer day!

My ENCHANTED KINGDOM!
An enchanted kingdom beckons,
enticing arms wrap themselves around me,
dragging me, not unwillingly
to a treasure trove of worlds within worlds.
Every place my eyes can see,
beholds a treasure more precious
than all the wealth of the world combined.
It takes my breath away.
It is a sea, only more vast.
I take a deep breath and plunge
into the vastness of it all.
I happily, willingly drown.
I escape into a different world,
A fantasy, a mystery, a drama, a war -
I flit easily from world to the other,
running, escaping the mundane.
BANG!
A chair clatters on the floor -
Someone is mumbling apologies, or curses -
They ignore the sign, loud and clear,

PLEASE KEEP SILENCE!
