Buses to ply on Ring road
Tumkur, dhns: KSRTC in order to facilitate the residents who live on the outskirts of Shettyhalli and Upparahalli Gate will be allowing the movement of three buses, through the ringroad to Bangalore, on an experimental basis, from Tuesday onwards, informed Jayanagar (East) Citizens’ Welfare Association President Satyanarayan, General Secretary Therumallappa in a release.
The buses will ply from 6:30 am, 7:30 am and 8:30 am through the ringroad to Bangalore. The buses will again reach Tumkur in the evening at 6 pm through the same route. The KSRTC has come to this decision keeping in view the plight of the workers’ community, they said.
Thus, the association conveyed their gratitude to the KSRTC Divisional Controller G G Hegade. Several layouts have cropped up on the outskirts of Shettyhalli and Upparahalli.. As a result the population in this region is also very thick. Moreover, the movement of railways in this region is also very high, as a result the gates have to be opened every half an hour.
Thus, the decision to allow the buses through the ringroad was taken, to facilitate the movement of the worker in the morning to Bangalore, added the Jayanagar (East) Citizens’ Welfare Association.
MP inspects dam work
Chikkanayakanahalli, dhns: Member of Parliament S Mallikarjunaiah inspected the dam work being carried out in Ankasandra, Handanakere hobli.
The MP, who arrived at the spot where the mega project worth Rs 58 lakhs is being carried out, suggested to the contractor that the quality of work be stepped up at the spots where there is more scarcity of water. Nearly 25 villages will benefit from the 27- foot-long and 20-foot wide check dam being constructed at Ankasandra.
