The Mulbagal constituency has been  reserved for for the Schedule Caste this coming election and there has been a mad rush of people who would like to the contest from the constituency.
The Congress is no different and one of the aspirants for a ticket to the constitutency is a close confidante of Union Minister K H Muniappa and State convener of the Karnataka Congress SC Committee H V Kumar.
Making no bones about his ambitions Kumar said, “ I have finished my schooling here and am familiar with Mulbagal and therefore I have no inhibitions asking for a ticket to the constituency.”
Kumar belongs to the Adi Dravid community and has served in many capacities  in the Congress party including as the District president of the SC/ ST unit.
He also furthered his ambitions by saying that Congress  must give and opportunity to youngsters such as himself and prove that it is a party that remains committed to bring the youth to the forefront.
