In Chamarajpet area, rumours spread that some people were selling fake question papers at a high price. However, KSEEB director Rajanna emphatically denied any such incident, terming it a mere rumour.
He claimed that nowhere in the State were the question papers leaked. “At least we haven’t got any such information from any part of the State,” said Rajanna. He asked students not to fall prey to such rumours and concentrate on studying.
The tight arrangements made during the examination did not manage to completely curb malpractices; 13 students were debarred. Five students were debarred in Bijapur district, three each in Chikkaballapur and Bellary districts, and one each in Belgaum and Gulbarga districts.
In Raichur district, a boy appearing in place of an eligible student was held. The incident was reported in Zairabad in Raichur, where one Nagesh was handed over to police for writing exam for Raghu.
The beginning of SSLC Exam was not so lucky for many students of the City who found the Maths paper very tough to solve.
A majority of students had a common complaint: that the selection of questions was not proper as only tough questions were set, and it was difficult to answer them within the time limit. Kartik, a student from RV School, said he could solve only 85 percent of the questions.
Tough paper
At the Government School in Basavanagudi, students said they were not mentally prepared for such a tough question paper, though there were some who said they solved all the questions, but had no idea how many answers were correct.
They also demanded that they should get question papers separately so that they could analyse them at home. Presently, students are given booklets carrying questions with space for answers.
