'Vote BJP for overall development of city'
DH News Service, Bangalore:
Senior BJP leader Arun Jaitely on Thursday announced that his party would have a 'vision document' for Bangalore in its poll manifesto, for the forthcoming State assembly elections.

Speaking at a function to kick-off the saffron party’s election campaign, Mr Jaitely who is also incharge of the party in Karnataka said the party would lay special emphasis on solving the problems of the city and in this regard it would bring out a vision document.

“Bangalore which was once referred to as the Garden City of India is today a perfect example of urban chaos.

The BJP is aware of this problem and will work for the overall development of the city,” he said.

Chaotic

Terming, Karnataka as BJP’s gate way to the South, he urged voters to elect a stable government and to shun out other opportunist parties which have been exploiting the people.

Party chief ministerial candidate B S Yeddyurappa, in his address held successive Congress governments responsible for Bangalore apathy and said that a Task Force will be set up for the development of Bangalore and to make former President Abdul Kalam’s Vision 2020 a reality, if BJP was was voted to power.

Two Airports

Senior leader Ananth Kumar said that the party would press for the retention of the existing HAL airport even after the new BIAL starts its commercial operations from May 11. “Cities like New York, London have two airports.
Myself and Yeddyurappa feel that Bangalore needs two airports,” he said. Citing the step-motherly treatment meted out to the State and Bangalore in particular by the Congress led government in the centre, he urged voters to vote for BJP to save Bangalore.

Advantage BJP

Earlier, Mr Jaitely said that the Congress party’s decision to project Rahul Gandhi as the prime ministerial candidate would help the BJP. “Projecting the name of an inexperienced candidate, who has not made any meaningful political intervention  is an advantage for us,” he said.

Dear Mr. Editor, This entity called the bjp is the political arm of the criminal organization called the vhp. How in Gods name can the Election Commission allow these criminals to stand for elections?. bjp does not have the interests of South India in their hearts. The need of the hour is a pluralistic, non-linguistic and a true and democratic regional party for all the southern states. Kumaraswamys mistake was that he allowed kannada fanatics to dictate the partys governance of the State.
