Industries To Make Use Of Rebate
New Delhi, April 18.

Finance Minister Morarji Desai today announced in the Lok Sabha two successions in respect of development rebate to companies and the creation of a reserve by them.

Moving for consideration the Finance Bill (1958), he said he proposed to provide that the amount to be taken to the reserve of the company need not exceed 75 per cent of the amount of the rebate.

US Planes Over USSR
Moscow, April 18.

Soviet Russia today accused the US of “endangering peace” by sending American Air Force bombers, armed with nuclear weapons, in the direction of Soviet territory.
The protest against the American action would be made to the UN Security Council “without delay.”

Panels To Maintain Harmony
Bangalore, April 18.

The State government has decided to set up shortly taluk-level committees for maintaining communal harmony. Information and Publicity Minister Mr Raghupathy who briefed newsmen today after the Cabinet meeting said his decision had been taken in keeping with the government’s commitment to maintain a cordial relationship between communities.
