Rainfall occurred at isolated places over the State. Karkala (Udupi dt) and Sirsi (Uttara Kannada dt) recorded 3 cm and 1 cm rainfall respectively. Maximum temperatures changed little over the State. They were above normal at a few places over Coastal Karnataka and remained normal over Interior Karnataka. Gulbarga recorded the highest maximum temperature of 41.0 Celsius over the State.

Forecast: Forecast valid until the morning of Saturday: Rain/ thundershowers likely to occur at isolated places over all the districts of Coastal Karnataka, North Interior Karnataka and South Interior Karnataka.

Outlook for subsequent two days: No significant change is expected over the State.
