The real estate industry, on Saturday, hit out at steel and cement companies for cartelisation, saying it has increased the cost of construction and affected the affordability to consumers.
Wall St braces for thousands of pink slips  
Citigroup Inc, Merrill Lynch & Co and Wachovia Corp this week announced 12,400 job cuts, and the number of pink slips is likely to rise as losses mount and the economy works its way out of its malaise.
AT&T Inc axes 4,650 workers  
AT&T Inc said it would fire about 4,650 workers, trimming the managerial ranks in its fading home- phone business after more than $100 billion in acquisitions.
FE kitty up by $482 m  
Indias foreign exchange reserves rose by US$482 million to US$312.367 billion for the week ended April 11 from US$311.885 billion in the previous week.
