...And that maketh good leaders
As they say, if one wants to be a great leader one has to be a good listener. But what they do not say is if one wants to be a good leader, one has to be a good follower.
The Left and the UNPA leaders have followed it literally in their joint protest march to the Prime Minister’s office on Saturday.
As hundreds of supporters holding flags of their respective parties and chanting slogans against price rise took to the streets and moved forward towards the police vans and vehicles holding water cannons, the leaders were not to be seen.
As media persons searched for the big leaders, they were spotted at the fag end of the march being escorted by party loyalists towards the police vehicle so that they could “court arrest” without any hassle.
Knowing the fan following of the leaders, the police was wise enough to keep a Delhi Transport Corporation bus waiting instead of the regular small police vans and the leaders boarded the bus giving a visual bonanza to the TV channels.
When the bus left, one of the participants in the march said, “this is called price rise. The leaders now can get a dekko of how a state transport corporation looks like.
Have they ever tried to travel by a public bus?”
