Calzaghe downs Hopkins
Britain's Joe Calzaghe recovered from a first-round knockdown to defeat Bernard Hopkins by split decision in a light heavy-weight bout in Las Vegas.
Calzaghe was awarded the bout on two of the three judge's scorecards, with him winning it 115-112, 116-111, in a closely-fought battle in which the 36-year-old showed little of his famed prodigious punch output n the first two rounds.

After Digvijay Singh Mehta went down to Chinese Zhao Cai 4-6,  4-6 in the first singles on Friday, Ronit Bisht brought India back as he beat Xin Gao 6-3, 6-1 in the second singles. Chopra slips to tied 60th place
Daniel Chopra shot a poor three-over-par 74 to drop down to tied 60th place after the penultimate round in the $5.5-million Verizon Heritage golf tournament in Hilton Head Island, reports PTI.
After rounds of 69 and 72, the Indian-born Swede needed a strong third round to make his way up the leaderboard. Instead, Chopra returned his worst card of the week and his three-day total of three-over par 215 leaves him in an unflattering position in the leaderboard. Defending champion Boo Weekley (198) fired a six-under-par 65 card to soar to the top, opening a three-shot lead over fellow American Anthony Kim (67).
Chiragh United     pip Pune FC
Chiragh United rode on their captain Theodore Sunday Wrobeh’s brilliant hat-trick to beat Pune FC 4-2 in the round-robin match of the ONGC second division I-League on Sunday, reports PTI from Guwahati.
Wrobeh found the target in the 13th, 58th and 64th minutes before team-mate Shankar Oraon added another one in the 67th minute. For the Pune side, Emeka Ogbonna Hyginus (43rd) and L Raman Singh (85th) were the goal scorers.
