The pro-congress wave has become intense after the visit of All India Youth Congress President Rahul Gandhi to the State and this will gain Congress gain a decisive majority in the forthcoming elections and come back to power, KPCC President Mallikharjuna Kharge said here on Tuesday.
Kharge, who visited the Siddaganga Mutt to greet Dr Shivakumara Swamiji on his entering the 101st year, spoke to the media informally. He said there was no difference of opinion or groupism in the Congress Party.
When asked about the disgruntled Party leaders about tickets to contest the elections being given to new entrants to Party he said that once a person joins the Party he is a Congressman and the question of his being a new or old member does not arise.
Mallikharjuna Kharge said that Rahul’s visit and the public meeting in Bangalore had shaken the rival parties.
