Do not follow the US economic system: Economist
Tumkur, dhns:
There is no need for India to follow America as the market based economic system of America does not suit Indian system, said Economist Professor B M Kumaraswamy here on Tuesday.

He was speaking after inaugurating the Swadeshi Mela at B H Road in Tumkur which was organised by Indian Market Development Centre. He stressed on the adverse effects of imitating others culture which can never be ours.
India should use the available resources and make use of it to the fullest, instead of wasting our time on copying other countries, as the nature has bestowed every country with its own resources and it is different and unique to a particular country, he stated. Regretting over the fact that India’s 70 per cent comprises poor population, he said that the onus lies on the rulers of our country who have turned out to be corrupt politicians unfortunately, he added.
Appreciating Swadeshi Jagaran Munch, he said that the organisation has been striving hard to create awareness regarding being independent.
Sri Japananada Swamiji of Ramakrishna Sevashrama in Pavagada, actor Master Hirannaiah, co-ordinator of the Mela K S Vishwanath and other dignitaries were present.
Reception Committee President N S Jayakumar delivered the key not address. The exhibition of country made products and sale is on at the Basaveshwara High School grounds till April 7.
