Inter college cultural programmes play an important role in developing the wholesome personality of the students, said former Parliamentarian G S Basavaraju.
He was addressing the students at “Flair 2008,” a inter-college cultural programme held recently in the Chennabasaveshwara Institute of Technology in Gubbi.
These kind of programmes are essential to foster brotherhood among students, who come from other states to pursue their studies, he added.

Cultural fests helps in reducing stress and provides joy to students, said actor Panchami, who is the grand daughter of Dr Gubbi Veeranna.
Also, the students should develop interest in arts and varied other kind of hobbies apart from their studies, she added.
Moreover, students who had performed well in their academics and had secured prizes in various competitions held in Visvesvaraya Technological Varsity were also felicitated at the
