Kodagu district Muslim Samaja has been formed with an aim of bringing the muslim community members into the main stream of the society.

Addressing a news conference on Tuesday, former MLA K M Ibrahim said that the association will strive to provide various facilities provided by the Government to eligible muslims in the society.
He said that the society will prioritise on giving education to the Muslim children and will also strive to provide higher education to talented students who aspire to go for higher education.
“Though there are several sects within Muslims, the association will be united, without any groupism or divisions. The association will work for the upliftment of the members of the community without any disparity,” he added.
Construction of a full fledged community hall, hostel for girl students of the community, establishment of orphanage and educational institutions are some of the other plans of the association. Mr Ibrahim said that a Muslim convention will be held at Gandhi Maidan on April 19 where the various demands of the community members will be heard and the same will be kept infront of the Government.
