The pontiff of Udupi Pejawar Math, Vishveshatheertha Swamiji, has called for an united effort by Kannadigas in their struggle against Tamil Nadu’s move to take up a water project at Hogenakal.
Speaking at a programme organised to celebrate thbirthday of Dr Shivakumara Swamy, pontiff of Siddaganga Math who turned 101 years and distribution of tricycles to the handicapped, he said it’s an injustice meted out to the State by Tamil Nadu.
Dr Sharan Patil and former Minister Krishna Iyer were felicitated.
