Satyam Computer Services, on Monday, reported a 17.85 per cent jump in its January-March quarter profit after tax at Rs 468.45 crore as against Rs 397.51 crore in the corresponding quarter last fiscal.
The stand-alone total income increased to Rs 2,337.84 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2008 from Rs 1,778.40 crore in the year-ago period.
For the year ended March 31, the company posted a profit after tax of Rs 1,715.74 crore, 21 per cent higher than Rs 1423 crore in 2006-07. Total Income was up 31 per cent to Rs 8,394.48 crore for the year ended March 31, from Rs 6,410.08 crore a year ago.
The company also announced that it had acquired Belgium-based S&V Management Consultants for $35.5 million in an all-cash deal. The $15 million firm develops supply chain strategy and performance, and supply chain process excellence solutions, for manufacturing and pharmaceutical firms.
