MISSION ADMISSION
NATA mandatory for architecture aspirants

Students aspiring to be architects will have to take up the mandatory National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA)  conducted by the Council of Architecture (COA) to gain admissions to Bachelor of Architecture Degree course.

The online examination, for admission to 1st year of 5-year B.Arch. Degree Course at all COA approved architectural institutions like the National Institute of Technology, Indian Institute of Technology, Government institutions, government aided institutions, deemed universities and private institutions and private universities has been conducted since 2006. Like wise, for the present academic session 2008-09 also, NATA  is being conducted by COA.

It is mandatory for every candidate seeking admission to 5-year B.Arch. Degree Course in any COA approved architectural institution in the country to obtain valid NATA score in addition to any other selection procedure whether based on common entrance examination or marks obtained in the qualifying examination. Such scores shall be valid for a period of two years throughout the country for the purpose of admission to any architectural institution.

Eligibility

Therefore candidates seeking for B Arch course in colleges through the Karnataka Examination Authority’s Common Entrance Test or COMEDK Under graduate test will have to have NATA scores.

NATA scores is a mandatory requirement for candidates aspiring for  B Arch Degree course. Students with 10+ 2 or equivalent from a recognised Board or university, or diploma from recognises by Central, state government with mathematics as a subject with 50 percent aggregate marks are eligible for the test. Students can take up NATA anytime within the April 23 and post the NATA scores on or before April 26.

Admission
  The admissions shall be carried out by respective State Government/Competent Authority/Association of Architectural Institutions in the State, based on the valid NATA score and marks secured in the qualifying examination in the ratio of 50:50.
