BMW, the German automobile giant, has been weighing options for making India as one of its global outsourcing hubs, BMW India President Peter Kronschnabl disclosed here on Wednesday.
“We’ve commissioned a survey after establishing the International Purchasing Office (IPO) at our headquarters in Gurgaon and a decision is expected in another three months,” Mr Kronchnabl told newsmen here after launching the BMW fourth generation motor sport car M3 Coupe. “There is a good potential for outsourcing from India,” he said.
BMW outsources horns from India and invested around Rs 110 crore till date.
