Jose Barreto, Mohun Bagan’s Brazilian footballer whose passport was seized for trying to fly out of India with excess foreign exchange, has been allowed to return home for six weeks by the Calcutta HC. He will have to furnish a guarantee of Rs 15 lakh and a bond of Rs 10,000  to get his passport back.

Silvio Berlusconi said on Wednesday he would step down as AC Milan president when he starts his third stint as Italian prime minister. "I will have to give up the presidency of Milan and this pains me. My new role is incompatible," Berlusconi, who won last week's general election, told Italy's Radio station.
