Rajajinagar represents a constituency of contrasts. It has both upmarket localities and areas dominated by slums.

Voters:  Total 1,80,006      Men: 93,711     Women: 86,295
Total wards: 7 BBMP wards - Rajajinagar, Kamakshipalya, Basaveshwaranagar,
Shivanagar, Sriramamandira, Prakashnagar, Bhasyamnagar.

 The constitutency has a large number of reputed educational institutions and an equal number of bars and wine stores. The constitutency this time is likely to witness a triangular contest.

Constituency:  5 BBMP wards - Chamarajpet, KR Market, Jagajeevanramnagar,
Padarayanapura, Azadnagar. Returning Officer: Puttahalagaiah, Ph 9845943162

Chamarajpet constituency lies in the central business district of the city. It has number of slums and underdeveloped areas dwelled mainly by religious minorities. Former Wakf minister Zameer Ahmed has represented the constituency once and he is contesting again. His opponents are Shamsundar Gayakwad of BJP & Syed Amhed of Congress.

Vijayanagar constituency mainly comprises of middle and upper middle class voters.

M Krishnappa, who unsuccessfully contested 2004 general elections from Bangalore south constituency, is the Congress candidate. His main opponent is BJP’s Pramila Nesargi.
