He was speaking at a campaign rally organised at Lakshmipura cross in Srinivaspura taluk.
“The party has excellent leadership under H D Kumaraswamy. During his tenure as the Chief Minister his pro-people programmes are there for all to see. It is for this reason that the many leaders and party workers from other parties are joining JD(S),” he said.
He also added that the new joinees would not be discriminated against and all the members would work together for strengthening the party.
On the occasion congress leader and former chairman of the Kolar milk cooperative K R Venkatashiva Reddy and his supporters joined JD(S). His reasons for joining JD(S) is that despite having worked for nearly 3 decades the problems of the people have not been solved and therefore JD(S) is the answer these problems.
Among others who joined the party from the Congress included Narayanaswamy M Srinivasan, G Rajanna, R Narayanaswamy, B L Ramanna, B G Syed Khader and others were present.
