‘Freeze’, an exhibition of pictorial and wildlife (Indian & African) photographs by C R Satyanarayana will be held from April 24 to 28 at Chitrakala Parishat Art Complex, Kumara Krupa Road between 10 am and 7 pm. The exhibition is presented by Rajaram Silk House.

Geetha Sinchara

Duet by sisters
Rajmahal Vilas Sangeetha Sabha is organising its monthly music concert on April 27, 5.30 pm at the Raghothaman Memorial Building, above Post Office, RMV Extension, 2nd stage, Sanjaynagar. Listen to Manna Dey
Manna Dey, the legendary singer, will be performing live on May 10, 7 pm at the Chowdaiah Hall.
He will take the the audience on a musical journey through the last 65 years along with Ameen Sayani, the golden voice of radio and Khurana from Delhi.
Manna Dey will sing and converse with Sayani.

Nitya Nritya
To celebrate International Dance Day, Nupura, the school of Bharatanatyam is organising ‘Nitya Nritya’, a dance festival from April 27 to April 29. On the inaugural day (April 27), there will be a Bharatanatyam recital by Malavika Sarukkai at 11 am at the Ravindra Kalkshetra. On April 27 at 6 pm, Anuradha and Shridhar will perform Bharatanatyam and at 7.15 pm, Nirupama and Rajendra will present Kathak recital at Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan. On April 28 (6.45 pm) Shri Dance Company will stage ‘Pranaya’ and ‘Nisha Vibhrama’ a dance ballet choreographed by Lalitha Srinivasan will be presented by Nupura at 7.30 pm. On April 29 (6.45 pm) you can watch a Kathak ballet ‘Romeo and Juliet’ by Kalashram (Pt Birju Maharaj’s troupe).

Artistes come together
Shristi Centre of Performing Arts and Institute of Dance Therapy is celebrating International Dance Day on May 1. Prathiba Prahalad from Delhi, Keka Majumdar from Kolkata and dancers from Japan, Nigeria will perform between 8 am and 10 pm. About 34 groups will be participating in the event. A special Chidambara Sabha Natana Yagna will be held in the name of Lord Nataraja. The programme will be held at Ravindra Kalakshetra.

Book launch
The Bangalore International Centre is presenting its second event in the ‘Airtel Manthan Arts and Culture Series - the book launch of ‘Kamaladevi Chattopadhyay - A Biography’ by Jasleen Dhamija and published by National Book Trust of India. Adventure and lifeskill camp
Vertigo Expeditions Pvt Ltd is conducting a children’s adventure and lifeskill camp at Aralimanekopall, 20 km from Hassan proximate to Hemavathy and Yagachi backwaters. It is a three-day camp and will be held from every Tuesday to Thursday in May. The camp is for children of 12 years and above.
