SC upholds fine on Citibank, SBM  
The Supreme Court on Friday upheld the ruling of the National Consumer Commission, which had imposed a fine of Rs 5 lakh on Citibank N.A, New York and State Bank of Mysore jointly for "deficiency of service" to a Bangalore-based export firm in 1994 for not collecting the funds from a firm in the United States.
