Public inconvenience: No BMTC buses
There are no BMTC buses after 8.30 pm going through Jayanagar 9th East bus stop towards Majestic, City Market or Shivajinagar. The bus drivers bypass 9th Block East bus stop and go through Jayanagar 9th block, 28th main directly. It is becoming very tough for the people to go back home from office and students coming from tuitions to get back home.  By Akash   Responses

     The Meroe Pyramids of Sudan

Left: 10,000 year old Meroe Pyramids from the Meroewian Age at Sudan. Right: Sunset in Sudan.
History Note: Between 712-657 BC, Sudanese kings conquered and ruled Egypt, as the XXVth Dynasty. By about 300 BC the centre of the kingdom had shifted south to the Meroe region in central Sudan, where pyramids and tombs were built to house the bodies of their kings and queens.  All the tombs at Meroë have been plundered, most infamously by Italian explorer Giuseppe Ferlini (1800-1870) who smashed the tops off 40 pyramids in a quest for treasure in the 1820s. Ferlini found only one cache of gold. His aim was not to study the pyramids. His finds remain at the museums in Munich and Berlin.
