Cab driver held for murder
Bangalore, DHNS:
The Rajanakunte Police arrested a cab driver of BESCOM on the charge of murdering his colleague on Saturday.


 According to the police,  Raghu of Tyangeri Road, had followed Bhagyavathi, a resident of Heritage Apartments near Ananthpur Gate,  on Friday evening after dropping her and strangled her. He abandoned the body in a drainage and absconded. The victim's son, Trishul, had lodged a complaint with the police when his mother failed to return. The police suspect that financial matters might have been reason for the incident, added the police.

Robbed of valuables

Two identical cases of robbery were reported on Saturday. Pratheek Dixit, a trainee pilot, complained to Yelahanka police that  a cab driver and two other occupants robbed him after offfering the drop. They threw out of later later, he added.

In a similar incident, Jagadish, who is in stone-crushing business, was picked up from Dairy Gate near Hebbal and thrown out of the car after his valuables – a gold chain, wrist watch, wallet-- were snatched.

One killed

Ramesh, a 40-year-old businessman, died on the spot and his driver injured, after an unknown vehicle rammed into his car near Marathahalli Ring Road in the early hours of Saturday.
