Speaking after joining the party, Muddahanume Gowda said, “Despite my selfless service to the party, I was neglected by the Congress. Upset over the selfish attitude of several Congress leaders in Tumkur district, I decided to join the JD(S).”
JD(S) national president Deve Gowda said the Congress party has been making attempts to break the unity of the JD(S).
“But their efforts will not yield results. The Congress party itself is losing its ground as many of its leaders are joining the JD(S),” the JD(S) president remarked.
Congress leader (Bangalore Rural district) Satyanarayana, Somanagowda Basavanagowda Patil and others joined the JD(S) on the occasion.
