The total income of the company rose 4.6 per cent to Rs 1,977 crore in the January-March period from Rs 1,890 in the corresponding period last year, a company statement said.
The company, that also announced change of its name to Reliance Infrastructure Ltd, said aggregate revenue from energy sales during 2007-08 rose 36.25 per cent to Rs 4,920 crore from Rs 3,611 crore in the previous year, .
Dividend announced
It recorded a net profit of Rs 1,085 crore in the year ended March 31, 2008, compared to Rs 801 crore last year, recording 35.45 per cent growth. Consolidated net profit of the year was Rs 1,178 crore, against Rs 834 crore in the last financial year, the statement added. Meanwhile, the company board at its meeting has recommended a dividend of Rs 6.3 per share (63 per cent) on fully paid up equity shares of Rs 10 each for the year 2007-08. The dividend will be paid on the equity share capital of Rs 235.62 crore.
Reliance Energy Trading Ltd, Parbati Koldam Transmission Company Ltd became the subsidiaries of the company in the last fiscal.
