Karnataka Forum for Dignity (KFD) today announced its decision to contest for the four constituencies of the District barring Karkala where it would support Congress candidate Gopal Bhandary.
Speaking to media persons here, KFD District President Udupi Abdul Rehman said that irrepressible behaviour of all the political parties and its leaders reflecting fake concerns towards the needy has made the Forum to go ahead with its decision to contest the assembly polls in the district. Strongly opposing the so called multinational companies and their interests in the country, he informed KFD is against all the projects that are set up to cause disaster to the public in the name of development including Nagarjuna thermal power plant project in Nandikur and Yellur and Tegma in Malpe.
KFD Vice President Amir Hamja will contest from Kaup as an Independent candidate supported by KFD and Udupi District Secretary T M Jafurulla Hoode will be contesting from Udupi.
Candidates for Kundapur and Byndoor constituencies will be decided shortly, Mr Rehman informed. Amir Hamja, Jafurulla Hoode and Nasser Brahmavar were present.
