Former MLA S Rajendran representing the RPI party, displayed his massive public support with a strong hold of around 15,000 supporters, in Kolar Gold Fields on Sunday.
A huge rally was organised at the Malyali Maidan as a part of the poll campaign announced by the RPI party. The rally was inaugurated by Mr Rajendran.
Along with his supporters, the rally passed through the various thoroughfares of the town including Surajmal Circle, Gandhi Circle, Pichchard Road, Geetha Road and other prominent roads.
Later on, addressing a public meeting, Mr Rajendran appealed the citizens to vote for the RPI party for the overall development of the town. “All the developmental activities implemented by me are my blessings to win the elections,” he expressed.
Development schemes
Various developmental schemes like the Bhagya Jyothi Ashraya houses for the poor, drinking water facility, roads, and other schemes are even today popular among the people and this has helped the party a lot, he added.
He said, “If the voters elected me for another term, he would try his best to ensure that the town will get
permanent drinking water facility and also facilities will be extended to the school-going girls in the rural areas,” he assured.
