WipeDisk can help a secure wiping of harddisks (both logical and physical), USB memory sticks and floppy disks. It supports 14 wiping methods (e.g. two US Navy standards, the standard of the US Department of Defence, the US Airforce and the NATO standard).

The application website and help file are in German. The application starts up in German by default, but you can change it to English. How to extract: Download the RAR package and extract to a folder of your choice and launch WipeDisk.exe. Process Lasso

Process Lasso can take control of your processes and increase system responsiveness! It automatically adjusts the allocation of CPU cycles so that system responsiveness is improved during high loads.

To do so, the Process Lasso temporarily lowers the priorities of processes that are consuming too many CPU cycles, thereby giving other processes a chance to run if need be. This can prove useful for both single and multi-core processors. With Process Lasso around, a single process will not be able to bring your system to a virtual stall.

In addition, Process Lasso offers capabilities such as default process priorities, default process CPU affinities, termination of disallowed processes, and logging of processes executed. Process Lasso is a process priority optimiser, and not a task manager replacement, even though it does have some capabilities of a task manager.
