UN Force In Azad Kashmir
United Nations, April 2.
Dr Frank Graham, UN mediator on the Kashmir dispute, is believed to have made a five-point proposal in his report to the Security Council on the Indo-Pakistani dispute. Dr Graham was deported by the Security Council in December last to make a fresh attempt to solve the nine-year-old dispute.
His proposals, made after discussions in Delhi and Karachi, are believed to be of an “interim nature”.
All-India Panel To Select HC Judges
New Delhi , April 2.
The question of drawing up an all-India panel of names from which judges to the various High Courts would be appointed – as suggested by the Law Ministers’ Conference – was under consideration of the government, Pandit Govind Ballabh Pant, Union Home Minister, told Mr T C N Menon in the Lok Sabha today.

Officials Warned Against Fraud
Bangalore, April 2.
Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Minister Abdul Nazir Sab today warned that officials found guilty of misappropriation of funds and corrupt practices in executing drought relief works would be dealt with severely. The government would act on any written or telegraphic complaints from the public or legislators, he promised while replying to the seven-hour debate in the council.
