The much-debated issue of connectivity to the Bengaluru International Airport might just get an answer at the forthcoming ‘Aerodrome India-2008 (AI-08)’ three-day exposition at New Delhi, where connectivity between airports and cities will be a hot discussion.
The third AI-08, an international exhibition and seminar, is scheduled to begin on April 10. Dr C G Krishnadas Nair, President, Society of Indian Aerospace Technologies and Industries, said the country has over 400 airstrips and airports which need connectivity. “We will have a conference to provide connectivity to BIAL, HIAL and MIAL. The connectivity issue will also deal with interconnecting smaller airports with the bigger ones,” he said.
About 450 delegates are expected to participate. The meet will discuss - dedicated cargo airport planned by India, and implementation strategies on policy issues related to passenger and cargo operations.
The exhibition will see participation from 100 exhibitors from 18 countries.
