Maiden season
The maiden season of Sa Ri Ga Ma Pa —Lil Champs is ending this Sunday with the mega finals being telecast on Zee Kannada from 5 pm onwards. A rigorous and tough competition that was held over three months with over 1,220 applicants testing their luck.
Among them Adarsh, Ohileshwari, Ajay Bharadwaj and Sahana Hegde have made it to the mega finals. The winner will be entitled to a scholarship of Rs 1.5 lakh. And judging these four finalists will be Padmabhushan Kavita Krishnamurthy and Rajesh Krishnan.
Moreover, actor-model Digant, singers B K Sumitra and Kasturi Shankar, Ramakrishna, Sonu and others will lend a glamorous touch to the season-ending finale.
The second season of Little Champs will however kick off on April 12, i.e., next Sunday.
Agnishikhe
Starting this Ugadi, ETV Kannada will beam a new serial every Monday to Friday at 8.30 pm. Agnishikhe is the story of Raksha, a young, unmarried pregnant woman who lives in the city. But the sudden and mysterious death of her mother Sumithra Rao (Sudha Rani) forces her to come to Hosahalli and investigate the cause of her death. While doing so, Raksha has to contend with the local mafia. To her horror, Raksha realises that the authorities are hand in glove with the goons responsible for her mother’s death.
Penniless Raksha performs the last rites on loaned money! An inconsolable Raksha vows to destroy all those responsible for the death of her mother as she lights the pyre.
However, she chances upon a look-alike of her mother (Sudha Rani in a double role) and there begins a twist in the tale.
Agnishikhe comes from the stables of Manipal Entertainment, who earlier gave Guptagamini, Yava Janmada Maitri and Bidige Chandrama. The serial has Ramesh Pandith, Roopa, Goa Dathu, Suresh Mangalore, Vijayalakshmi, Manish Ballal, Praveen Rabakavi and others.
