CEOs diections to DCs

The CEO has directed deputy commissioners to take back all government vehicles allotted to elected members of ZP, TP boards, Corporations and other bodies. The CEO has issued several instructions to deputy commissioners for conduct of free, fair and peaceful elections. He has asked DCs not to allot government guest houses, circuit houses, travellers’ bungalows for any political parties or press meets. Department vehicles should be not spared to any Central minister. Stenographers and personal assistants attached to MLCs, heads of local bodies should be withdrawn. Funds of MPs, MLCs and MLAs should not be released afresh for new works or schemes. The DCs have been directed to freeze the proposals of committees such as Karnataka Development Programme, Ashraya, Aradhana, land grants, land reforms, allotment of sites. However, unavoidable meets of statutory bodies may be held. But no new schemes should be discussed or sanctioned. Similarly meets of the Land Tribunals should be put on hold till the elections are over.
