Yuva Sangeet Utsav
Smiriti Nandan is organising the 21st ‘Devnandan Ubhayaker Yuva Sangeet Utsav’, presenting the talent of young disciples of music maestros on August 11 at Chowdiah Memorial Hall at 6.15 pm. Swami Iswarananda Girija Maharaj will inaugurate the utsav. Surmani Bheemanna Jadav will play the musical instrument ‘Sundari’ and Sonali Sinha Biswas will perform Hindustani classical vocal.

Book released
‘Vishnusahasranaama: Meaning, Message and Direction to Life in English’ compiled by Dr Aralu Mallige Parthasarathy was ‘dedicated’ to people by Governor T N Chaturvedi on Thursday at Raj Bhavan.

Vishnusahasranaama, that releases people from all the shackles, can’t be released and can only be dedicated, said Mr Chaturvedi.

“The English version will help people, who don’t understand Sanskrit, realise the power and cherish the charm of Vishnusahasranaama,” he added.

The foreword of the book is written by Governor T N Chaturvedi.
