Computing workshop
a five-day workshop on cluster computing is being held by the Department of Computer and Information Science Engineering, Atria Institute of Technology, Bangalore as part of its faculty development programme. The valedictory will be held on Friday.
The workshop was inaugurated by IISc Associate Director Prof N Balakrishnan. As many as 75 faculty members from 45 engineering colleges across the State are attending the workshop that concludes today, August 10. Speakers are from institutions including IISc, C-DAC, DRDO and NAL as well as AMD, Microsoft and Sun Microsystems. Prof H P Khincha, Vice-Chancellor, VTU will preside over the valedictory.
LIFE workshop
Swami Sukhabodhananda will conduct LIFE (Living In Freedom - An Enquiry), a two-day interactive workshop on August 11 and 12 at Hotel Atria. The programme focuses on stress, fear, diffidence, frustration, hurt and how to deal with them effectively through interaction, meditation, group dynamics and balancing through Nava Rasas.
