Hindustani festival

The Indian Institute of World Culture is presenting a Hindustani classical vocal concert by K Surabhi, disciple of Mani and Chaitra Sontakki on August 15 at 5.30 pm at Indian Institute of World Culture, B P Wadia Road, Basavanagudi.

Vocal recital

Sapthak is organising a vocal concert by Anagha Bhat on August 15 at 5.30 pm Canara Union, 8th Main, Malleswaram. This will be followed by a concert by Pandit Chandrashekar Puranikmath at 7.30 pm. He will be accompanied by Gurusangappa Hugar and Gajanana Hegde Gilligundi (tabla) and Veerabhadraiah Hiremath (harmonium).

Vocal duet

Indiranagar Sangeetha Sabha is organising a vocal duet concert by Sashikiran and Ganesh on August 11 at 6 pm at Purandara Bhavan, 8th Main Road, HAL II stage (Behind Indiranagar Club). They will be accompanied by V Sanjeev (violin), Srimushanam V Raja Rao (mridangam) and S Karthik (ghatam).

Violin duet

The Bangalore Gayana Samaj as part of its 39th Music Conference is organising a violin duet by Mysore M Nagaraj and Mysore M Manjunath at the Gayana Samaj premises, K R Road on August 10 at 6 pm.

Harmonium concert

Vijaya Sangeet Sabha has organised a harmonium solo by Dr Ravindra Katoti, Lavanya Dinesh (vocal), Akash Das, R Mahadevan, Karan L Pisse (tabla solo) on August 11 at 6 pm at Ananya Hall, 13th Cross, Malleshwaram.

Nadaranjani Sangeetha Sabha is organising a vocal concert by Dr K Vageesh and party at Dharini Auditorium, Behind post office at Basaveswara Nagar on Aug 11 at 6 pm.

Sugama Sangeetha

The Indian Institute of World Culture is organising a sugama sangeetha (light music) concert by Sunitha Murali on August 10 at 6 pm.

Musical theatre

Silver Blue Productions is presenting “Unsuni”, a play by Mallika Sarabhai on August 17 at 5.30 pm and 7.30 pm at Centre for Film and Drama, Millers Road.

Kannda play

Kala Gangotri theatre group presents four shows of “Mysooru mallige”, Kannada play based on the poems of K S Narasimhaswamy at Ranga Shankara, JP Nagar, on Aug 10 (7.30 pm), Aug 11 (7.30 pm) and Aug 12 (3.30 pm and 7.30 pm).
