The Blue Umbrella (Hindi)
The Blue Umbrella is a heart-warming adaptation of the beloved novella of the same name by Ruskin Bond.
Directed by Vishal Bhardwaj, Blue Umbrella is an endearing story of an innocent, small town girl Biniya (Shreya Sharma) who lands up with a beautiful possession and the world around her changes.
Nandkishore Khatri (Pankaj Kapoor), who is smitten by the beauty of the umbrella, goes to remarkable lengths to acquire it but fails. Biniya's secret weapon gives her an enviable power over the town as the umbrella assumes mythical status. One day the umbrella goes missing.
What follows is a journey by Biniya and Nandkishore to a discovery, which is bittersweet and wisdom far beyond the Blue Umbrella.
