Create awareness about Kannada

There is a very rich cultural background to Kannada language and the literature of Kannada stands tall among all the literatures in the world, opined G Siddalingappa of taluk Sharana Sahitya Parishat.

He was speaking after inaugurating the series of programmes held jointly by Taluk Kannada Sahitya Parishat and Jupiter Public School. Kannada literature has a history of over 2,000 years, he added.

 Department of Public instruction deputy director Sadashiva Murthy said, that everyone should respect their own language and contribute in its development.

Taluk Panchayat CEO Dr T S Shridhar Murthy said that it is the need of the hour to create awareness regarding our culture and heritage among the youth.

Tahsildar V Prasanna said that every kannadiga must be proud to be called himself a ‘kannadiga’. Though it is today’s necessity to learn other languages, one should never look down upon our mother tongue, he said.
Taluk Kannada Sahitya Parishat president C Krishnappa said that one should have admiration and have respect for one’s own language.

Students of Jupiter school Prajwal, Nandini, Anupama, Manasa, Inchara, N Bhushan, Purushottam and Chaitra spoke on the litterateurs of kannada. President of Kalaranga Ch. Su. Krishna Murthy, Taluk Journalists Association president Bandichowdaiah, Taluk Kannada Sahitya Parishat secretary Mahalingesh, Taluk employees association Secretary Thippeswamy, Kannada Sahitya Parishat former presidents P V Subramanya, M N Venkateshababu, Secretaty of Jupiter school C S Gururaj, directors Nagabhushan, Narayan and others were present.

Head mistress of Jupiter school Manjula Nagabhushan delivered the key note address. Invocation was done by Amitha Gangaraju.Teacher Manjularaj welcomed while Sudhamani compered. Deepa proposed vote of thanks.
