Anil Ambani Group company Reliance Communications Limited (RComm), on Tuesday, announced it has clocked a 76.58 per cent jump in profit after tax (PAT) at Rs 837.30 crore for the quarter ended June 30, as compared to Rs 474.17 crore for the same period last year.
Total income of the company increased 18.21 per cent to Rs 3,229.69 crore for the June quarter, from Rs 2,732.16 crore in the corresponding quarter previous year.
Robust growth
The group recorded a 138 per cent jump in its profit at Rs 1,220.84 crore as compared to Rs 512.82 crore a year ago, while the total income registered an increase of 32 per cent at Rs 4,303.70 crore from Rs 3,250.12 crore, this was mainly due to return on the new worth which increased to 36 per cent on the back of improved resource utilisation. Reliance Communications Limited Chairman Anil Dhirubhai Ambani said, “Our operating margin of 42 per cent is highest of any telecom company in India. We have delivered the strongest profit growth of any telecom company.”
Incidentally, RCom has committed 95 per cent of this year’s capex of Rs 10,000 crore to accelerate this roll out.
