Haneef and his family remained out of bounds for media on Tuesday. According to sources, the family went for a day-long outing to Imran Siddique’s resort near Nagarhole. Imran is Haneef’s wife Firdous Arshiya’s cousin.
He has been instrumental in getting Haneef out of Australia and has become his spokesperson ever since. Haneef’s Australian lawyer Peter Russo, who had checked into a five-star hotel in the City, remained incommunicado, and in the afternoon, checked out of the hotel.
