Davenport to play in Bali
Former world number one Lindsay Davenport will juggle motherhood and professional tennis by returning to singles action at the WTA event in Bali in September, organisers said.
The 31-year-old quit the tour at the end of 2006 having missed much of the year with a back injury. She gave birth to a son, Jagger, in June.

Triple jumper Kenta Bell, who placed third at last month’s US Outdoor Track and Field Championships, admitted to a positive doping test from the meet.

F1 spy row takes a new twist
McLaren's title prospects were plunged back into doubt on Tuesday when Formula One's governing body agreed an appeal court should have the final say on the 'spy saga' gripping the sport, reports Reuters from London.
Max Mosley, president of the IAF, granted an Italian request for a review of last week's controversial FIA decision not to punish McLaren for unauthorised possession of Ferrari information. The appeal hearing is likely to be held in front of a three-judge panel in Paris at the end of August.
New Lanka selection panel
Former Sri Lanka fast bowler Asantha de Mel was re-appointed chief of the national cricket selection committee on Tuesday, which was reshuffled by the sports minister, reports AFP from Colombo.
De Mel and Don Anurasiri were retained from the previous selection panel and will be joined by Mahes Goonathilake and Ranjith Madurasinghe in the new committee.
Amal Silva and Shabir Asgerally were dropped from the previous panel.
